Verizon @ Celebrate Oak Park!

A few weeks ago, Verizon was proud to partner with multiple organizations to ‘Celebrate Oak Park!’ With over 30 vendors and 1,000 attendees, the event was a huge success!

Verizon team members were onsite to support “STEAM in the Park” by teaching young children AND adults how to make harmonicas out of popsicle sticks, straws, and rubber bands. There’s something incredibly rewarding about supporting the community and empowering our youth through STEAM education.

Verizon’s 5G Home/Verizon Enhanced Communities team was also on hand to share information about the 5G Home product and the Affordable Connectivity Program–and even signed up a few very excited customers!

Cheers to getting out in the community, celebrating the rich history of the Oak Park neighborhood in Sacramento, doing our part to bridge the digital divide, and engaging youth in hands-on STEM/STEAM learning. Check out the pictures below of this incredible event!
