Verizon extends a helping hand to Vermont and New York State communities amid historic flooding

As historic and ongoing flooding continues to impact parts of the Northeast, Verizon is offering support in the hardest hit areas. Starting immediately through July 20, anyone from any carrier can visit select Verizon stores and authorized retailers in the affected regions to access free device charging services and bottled water.

FCC Announces Over $21 Million in Emergency Connectivity Funding for Schools and Libraries

The Federal Communications Commission committed over $21 million in a new funding round through the Emergency Connectivity Fund (ECF) Program, which provides digital services for students in communities across the country. The funding commitment supports applications from the third application window, benefitting approximately 40,000 students across the country, including students in Georgia, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Texas, and Wisconsin.

VIP Series: BronxWorks & HYPOTHEkids

A lifelong love of STEM must be fostered from a young age—that’s why Verizon was proud to support BronxWorks and HYPOTHEKids to bring hands-on science to children in New York City and beyond.

Over the summer, hundreds of children convened to take part in enrichment opportunities the Verizon Digital Inclusion and STEM Enrichment Grant supported. At the HYPOTHEkids table, kids were even able to learn how to make their own stethoscope!
