Community Partnership Chat: Asian American Youth Leadership Empowerment and Development (AALEAD)

One of the most rewarding aspects of our community engagement work is the opportunity to partner with many non-profit organizations and support innovative programs that help advance the diverse communities we serve. We launched our Verizon Community Partnerships Initiative to celebrate Verizon-supported community organizations and highlight their important work.

Today, we feature our conversation with Akil Vohra, Executive Director of Asian American LEAD (AALEAD), in Washington, DC. AALEAD is a recognized leader in education. Its programs help Asian American students build a strong academic foundation to enhance learning and prepare to pursue higher education.

Below we share an inspiring conversation between Verizon’s Mario Acosta-Velez and Akil Vohra about AALEAD’s mission, programs, and impact in the Asian American community.
