Verizon recognizes 7 Latino organizations

“With a busy reception in which notable community leaders participated, the Verizon corporation recently recognized the work of seven Latino organizations that have supported the advancement of digital inclusion, education, small businesses and youth empowerment, all of this has been possible thanks to financial support from Verizon. The event was held at one of Verizon’s stores in Washington DC.

Mario Acosta-Velez, from the Local Engagement and Public Policy office of the Eastern Region of Verizon and one of the managers of said event, said that “Verizon is very proud to be able to support the community through different programs and initiatives, We work closely with the communities in which we operate and are working with our clients and organizations, and one of the important areas is our commitment to supporting small businesses.”
