University of San Diego: Igniting a Spark in Students Learning Math

Math can be an intimidating subject for students. As they progress from addition and subtraction to algebra and geometry, new and abstract topics can become more difficult to understand. “When I was in high school, I struggled with math a lot,” says Kaliyah Clyde, a sophomore at the University of San Diego. “I also saw a lot of different students struggling in math and remember thinking, ‘I have to do something.’”
