Thomas: Micron Technology Brings 500 Jobs to Georgia with New Design Center

A major semiconductor manufacturer plans to establish a new design center for memory chips in Atlanta, state and company officials announced.

Micron Technology said the 93,000-square-foot complex, located in the city’s Midtown neighborhood, will comprise a research and development facility, a data center, and office space. The project is expected to create 500 new jobs, including positions in computer hardware, electrical engineering, and modeling and simulation development.
