The President Of Verizon Global Services Has A Game Plan For Gen AI
In July of this year, Shankar Arumugavelu was promoted to Executive Vice President and President of Verizon Global Services. For nearly seven years prior, he was the global CIO of the company, and he joined Verizon through a predecessor company, GTE, in 1999. As such, for the past 25 years, he has been involved in numerous technological innovations that the company has brought to bear. In his current role, Arumugavelu has taken the helm of a vast portfolio that includes not only information technology, data and analytics, but also supply chain, real estate and broader shared services. He is now responsible for overseeing global technology, commercial and corporate functions, and the infrastructure that supports Verizon’s operations worldwide.
