Verizon & Mission Tomorrow

Verizon was a proud sponsor for the Richmond Chamber of Commerce’s signature event, Mission Tomorrow. Over the span of two days, 12,000 of the region’s eighth graders explored a wide variety of potential career pathways in high-demand industries through a series of interactive activities and discussions with over 150 area businesses.

At Verizon’s exhibitor booth, students witnessed the strength of Verizon’s 5G connection while playing their favorite games on the Xbox game console. They learned about the 5G network and different types of modems used for connectivity. The students were also immersed in virtual reality through Oculus headsets and experienced the virtual museum Smithsonian exhibit.
