Verizon Community Partner Chat: Bright Minds

One of the most rewarding aspects of our community engagement work is the opportunity to partner with many non-profit organizations and support innovative programs that help advance the diverse communities we serve.  In May 2020, we launched our Verizon Community Partnerships Initiative to celebrate community organizations supported by Verizon and highlight their important work.

Today, we feature our conversation with Liz Crammond, Executive Director for Bright Minds Foundation, based in Ellicott City, Maryland.

Below we share an inspiring conversation with Liz about Bright Minds’ important mission and how its programs continue to support the Howard County community.

ICYMI – How Technology Helps Communities Adapt (9/17 Virtual Event)

The COVID-19 pandemic has shown how important access to technology is in communities across America. From learning at home, to connecting with doctors, to video calls with loved ones, technology is keeping Americans connected.

On September 17, 2020, local community leaders from Baltimore, MD, Newark, NJ, and Washington, DC, discussed how their communities are leveraging technology to help manage the challenges of the pandemic, the role that it will play in addressing issues of social and racial justice, and how it could transform the ways we live and work.
