Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Pittsburgh, Baltimore To Share National Science Foundation Grant For Rec Center Tech Education

Kids in Pittsburgh and Baltimore will have more opportunities to get their hands on tech tools, thanks to a joint National Science Foundation grant to be shared by the two cities, officials announced Thursday.

The $1.5 million grant was awarded to the Baltimore-based Digital Harbor Foundation and the University of Maryland to conduct a three-year project to study the role of technology education in both cities’ recreation centers.
