LA Biz: Magnite to Buy Ad-Tech Rival for $1 Billion

Magnite Inc. will acquire a rival ad-tech company for more than a billion dollars.

The Los Angeles company has entered into an agreement to buy the SpotX video advertising platform headquartered in the Denver area for $560 million in cash plus 14 million Magnite (NSDAQ: MGNI) shares based on the stock’s closing price on Thursday for a total of $1.17 billion.
