SKILL- BASED Virtual Volunteerism – VITA Tax Preparation

Following completion of certification in Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, volunteers will prepare taxes for low income individuals and families through the use of our online system which securely holds taxpayer information and allows the Denver Asset Building Coalition to e-file clients’ tax returns on their behalf. The Denver Asset Building Coalition prepares more than 6,000 tax returns for free each year for Denverites through our VITA programs, and we are switching to this online system for the foreseeable future due to the ongoing quarantine.
