Denver Business Journal: Colorado Offers Millions to Keep 2 Homegrown Tech Companies from Moving out of State

Colorado Economic Development Commission members offered a combined $5.8 million Thursday to keep two homegrown tech companies from moving outside the state, even as the CEO of one of the companies told officials that the state’s offer was not competitive.

EDC members also offered incentives to a foreign nonprofit considering setting up its U.S. headquarters in Colorado and to a secretive company considering an expansion into the state. And they gave two film incentives to a Denver-connected producer who’s been behind a slew of independent and made-for-TV films, including three in the “Sharknado” series.
