Baltimore Business Journal: Baltimore-Born Tech Could Help Lower Asthma-Related ER Visits In Kids, Study Shows

Early data from a recent pilot study shows a Baltimore-born technology could help reduce the need for children to visit emergency rooms due to asthma complications.

Local health system LifeBridge Health partnered with emocha Mobile Health for a two-month study involving children diagnosed with asthma. The study aimed to determine if the use of emocha’s technology could improve the likelihood that patients with pediatric asthma took their medications regularly and properly. Preliminary data from the study suggests patients who participated in the study showed improved control of their asthma.
